My idea for the first album was to create a personal cover of the artist. I wanted to show the feeling of the artist at this moment and also to conclude on the track list titles that refers to depression and break ups. For this reason the cover photo was a close up of her face. For the back cover I took a picture of her hand. I wanted the hand to look dirty and the fingers kind of closed and relaxed so then the viewer is going to think about what exactly the photo shows. I believe that most of them will see it as a problematic hand or something bad happened or even the hand also shows many of the titles for example (heart attack, leave me alone, get away) and also weak.
I did my first creation on the 6th of November in my accommodation. The photo-shoot was about an hour. I took several pictures of her and then I took two of them for the cover and for the back side.
For the photo-shoot I use just one chair and for the background we use a door. Likewise, we chose simple clothes

Photos from the photo-shoot:
From all of the photos I took, I used two of them. I chose them because they refer to different personality and personal depression.

Elias, we need to see more process on how this was put together and reflection on that process and the final piece. Also, check your spelling on the front cover...
ReplyDeleteI really liked your pictures! However, it would be better if you add the process and some commentary and reflection on this post.
ReplyDeletePlease add your contact sheets as well as further process screenshots of your work as you progress through the creation of your CD covers. Add commentary to each step of the creative process as well please.

ReplyDeleteIt's been a week and I would hope that your would have blogged more on your major project pieces. You should be blogging at least 3 times a week (not including those posts you do during class time) to show your project development, your website development and general commentary on your progression through the module.
